The linguistic power of the piece is illuminated by its semiotics: 知 (Zhi) meaning 'to know' or 'to understand,' and 音 (Yin) meaning 'sound' or 'music.' The true Zhi Yin is not merely a friend, but one who inherently grasps the inner music of another's soul.

The diptych utilizes intricately woven black lace that flickers between opacity and translucence, acting as both gesture and atmosphere. It operates as an ink stroke caught mid-flight, a fragment of a private language rendered spatial.
